Mount Agung Bali can be summited by fit hikers within 5 to 7 hours to the real summit from Besakih Temple starting point. The second option is within 3 to 4 hours from Pasar Agung Temple starting point but you will only reach till elevation of 2.850 meters above seal level.

To climbing mount Agung, there are two common hiking routes you can choose depend with you physically fitness level. Before do this hike make sure you have prepare this trek and have some serious trekking experience. Please note this trek is not easy as you do mount Batur trekking.

A. MOUNT AGUNG SUNRISE TREKKING – BESAKIH ROUTES

For this route, the hiking start point is located near from Besakih temple, exactly at Pura Pengubengan. From this trekking start point, you will entered the rain forest and climb till  the highest peak (3142 meters). We will start this hike on 11.00 PM. For experienced trekker usually this will take about 5 to 6 hours up to reach the highest point. The hiking trails is heavy category, but you can imagine watch a beautiful sunrise you can see from their top.

TOUR ITINERARY:

• 21.00 to 22:00: Pickup at your hotel, please contact us for exact pick up time.
• 23:00: Arriving at trekking start point Besakih (Pura Pengubengan).
• 23:15: Short briefing and trek to peak of mount Agung (3142 meters) is beginning,
• 6:00: Approximately 6 Am you will arrive at top of Mt Agung and time to see the spectacular scenery and sunrise. During this time our guide will served you with breakfast. It’s consist of hot drinks, sandwich, eggs, noodles and some fresh fruits.
• 7:30: Heading down and go finish point,
• 12:00 – 13.00: Hiking is done and driver will drop you back to your hotel.

B. MOUNT AGUNG SUNRISE TREKKING – PASAR AGUNG ROUTES

Pasar Agung Routes is the second option you can chose to do mount Agung trekking. This routes is bit easier than Besakih routes. To reach Pasar Agung summit, it will takes about  3 – 5 hours up. Please take a note: from this route you will only come to second peak of mount Agung one elevation about 2.850 meters above sea level.

Actually there’s also option with continue to the highest peak(3142 meters) from this point, but because the trails is too dangerous so we not recommend it. Although the peak is lower than Besakih peak, but you will also able to see stunning views from this peak

TOUR ITINERARY:

• 23:00 to 00:00: Pick up at your hotel. Please contact us for exact pick up time.
• 1:45: Arrive at trekking start point (Pura Pasar Agung Temple). Before starting the hike, you will get short briefing about standard procedure from our local guide.
• 2:00: Start our trekking trip to the summit and sunrise point (2.850 meters above sea level).
• 5.30-6:00: You arrive at the peak, where we watched spectacular sunrise view and as well as we served for your breakfast.
• 7:30: Starting go down to the finish point
• 10.30 to 11:00: Trekking is done and our driver will drop you to your hotel.
